October 23, 2020 - Found my old "for sale" sign
Came across my first sign while cleaning up my office today. 17 years later and I still love what I do! I love meeting and helping people. People always ask me what’s the secret to my success in real estate and I tell them "If you’re a people person and you truly care and want to help them, then success is easy”. Honesty and trust are paramount in my life and work. I think of the many families I’ve helped buy or sell their homes over the course of 17 years and how years later I’m now working with the children of my first clients. It’s truly inspiring to see my work come full circle. I dedicate myself to my clients and ensure they will never be disappointed in my services.
April 21, 2020 - Reflecting on personalized service from a safe distance
Over the past month I’ve been re-connecting with old friends and clients without physical contact or proximity. It’s been great being able to converse by phone, text or video and I’ve now realized how much of my personal and professional life revolved around face to face interaction. Now more than ever I understand the most meaningful part of real estate, for me, is the “human” factor. I value my clients, their home and their needs when buying or selling a property. We’re all at home and have gained a better sense of what “home” means to us. Home is a place of comfort, safety, shelter, and love. I recognize the importance of what “home” means to my clients. Buying or selling a home is a big decision. My job is to facilitate the real estate process and advocate whole heartily for my clients. At this time I want to emphasize my commitment to personalized service. Nothing can replace personal attention when selling or buying a home. After all the most important part of real estate is “YOU” the client.
May 26, 2020 - Take this pause to determine what’s of value
Life pre-isolation you may have been thinking about listing your home for sale. Now you find yourself at home with your routine life on pause. Selling your home may not be your foremost thought but now is an opportune time to prepare your home for sale. One of the easiest ways to get your home prepared and market ready is to declutter. Decluttering is a beneficial mental exercise, it will give you a sense of control over your home environment and may help relieve stress and anxiety. Involve your kids, get them to help you clean out packed closets and storage areas. Make it a treasure hunt, you may come across a few gems in your pursuit to organize and declutter. Living space sells, keep this in mind when you go from room to room. Look at your home the way a buyer would. Storage space is a big selling feature, but the space needs to be seen as organized and useable not packed and spilling out. Keep busy and stay safe!
